Housing offers are not made public, and are removed from the pool when filled. Potential hosts sign up using a web form. MoveOn.org is a liberal political group, but their coordination of housing appears to be separate from their advocacy agenda.

Locate or offer housingThis site is the largest effort at the present time, and is referred to by both HUD and FEMA as a good location to find temporary housing. Craigslist is a site that usually provides classified ads for many areas across the U.S. These listings are a mix of free housing offers and offers to rent housing. The format of housing offers is a long discussion list through which Craigslist members make offers.
